BBC News, while talking to industry people about the impending European launch of Sony’s PlayStation 3, managed to grab this snippet from Neil Thompson – the UK Xbox boss:

Microsoft sells a HD-DVD player add-on for Xbox, which plays high definition movies in a rival format.
Mr Thompson said it did not matter which high definition DVD video system wins the format war.
“Whatever format wins it is highly likely we will offer a solution,” he said.
They’ve said this before, if blu-ray becomes the winner they will offer a player as well, which is fine by me. It seems their still hard on their stance that it’s a consumers choice above anything else.
