Get it while its hot people, the new 28 Weeks later trailer is out. For those of you not in the know, 28 weeks Later is the sequel to the 2002 awesome zombie movie, 28 Days Later.

The sequel picks a little after the events set by the first movie. Seven months after the rage infection has pretty much finished Britain the good US of A is taking over and restoring whats left. They actually made a quarantined city (London) and are repopulating it but a carrier of the Rage infection (Zombie) enters the city, re-igniting the rage plague yet again. It seems that even though the people repopulating the city are meticulously tested before entering the quarantined city, somehow one of those rage zombies got inside the place to bring hell.

My only worry about the film is the fact that Danny Boile didnt direct it. He is now Executive Producer with Juan Carlos Fresnadillo at the helm of the directing. Will this change in the team make the movie better than the last? Or, will it make it tarnish the good name of the first one? Whatever the case, 28 Weeks later is stated for a release on May 11th, 2007.

It seems that the trend of crappy remade classics is set to continue. This time with one of  sci-fi’s most loved classics, “The Day the Earth Stood Still“. Those that can’t remember, this gems story revolves around a space man and his robot bodyguard coming down to earth to warn mankind to stop fucking around, or else. Mankind says “fuck no” and intergalactic bitch slapping ensues. I just wonder if this new remake will still have the famous guy with a knife, cuse dammit I know that a guy with a knife makes me want to act right and stop screwing around.

Moster Squad was one of those flicks in the 80’s that was an instant classic. I mean it had everything! Dracula, Frankenstein, the Wolfman and even a damn Mummy; all wrapped around a crazy 80’s plot that involved kids saving the world. It was camp, funny and we loved it. Finally it’s coming out on DVD.

Fangoria recently caught up with DVD aficionado Michael Felsher who runs Red Shirt Pictures and has done work on the recently released Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Ultimate Edition, and also is currently working on Diary of the Dead. But right now he is hard at work on getting all the things together for the 20th Anniversary DVD of Monster Squad.

During Monster Mania he revealed some details about what will be on the upcoming disc. We can look forward to a brand new HD transfer along with a new transfer in the original 2.35:1 aspect ratio that has never been shown in the U.S. before. There was also a commentary that was just recorded with Fred Dekker, Andre Gower, Ashley Bank and Ryan Lambert.

Felsher also promised a lot more will be revealed in the coming days with more features. Included in those will be a panel that was filmed during the convention with the quartet and creature actors Duncan Regehr (Dracula), Tom Noonan (Frankenstein’s monster) and Tom Woodruff Jr. (Gillman). It sounds like this disc will be jam packed!

So when you can you get your mitts on a copy? According to Felsher we should be able to pick it up sometime before Halloween. That sounds like a long time from now.. But hey we have waited 20 years for this, whats another couple months?

Oh sweet merciful heaven it’s another Resident Evil Movie. More Naked hot chicks, more crappy acting, and more half-ass mediocre special effects. Awesome. Hopefully this one will be at leat a tad bit better than the last one. I just hope for more of that hot ass Jill Valentine.

That of course is if you don’t piss her off. The new theatrical trailer of Tarantinos and Rodriguez’ flick, Grindhouse, is out and it’s not quite what you’d expect. Or is it? They’re doing a hell of a job keeping it real for the fans. That cheaply made 70’s quality theme and over the top scenes is in fact by design. Most would call it excessive, I just call it entertainment. Enjoy!

If you go over to yahoo movies, you will be treated with a new Grindhouse trailer. Being the Tarantino whore I am, I really cannot wait to see his new movie. If you havent heard of Grindhouse before, the movie is a joint effort between Quentin Tarantino (Jackie Brown, Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction) and Robert Rodriguez (From Dusk Till Dawn, Desperado, Sin City) and the movie will be an homage of the grindhouse movies of old. A Grindhouse Theater was one that was filled with low budget movies which ran back to back that exploited themes like sexuality, violence and all that nice stuff that make men go “YEEEAAAH”. In the same manner, Grindhouse will have two movies running back to back, starting with Robert Rodriguez’s “Planet Terror” a zombie flick.

Once the first movie is over, a few trailers will run during a break before the other movie starts. These trailers are fake and are added to make the experience of watching the movie resemble more a true Grindhouse experience. A variety of Directors are set to make the trailers, ranging from Eli Roth to Rob Zombie, and the trailers will be of the same exploitation genre manner. The second movie, Tarantino’s “Death Proof” will follow right after the string of trailers, making the movie two and half hours long. The movie looks pretty damn good so far, and if anything, is bound to be another Tarantino cult classic. Grindhouse is stated for a release on April 6, 2007.
