Blue Dragon anime coming to TV Tokyo

 by Mike

Blue Dragon was a pretty big hit for Microsoft and Mistwalker studios over in Japan. While the game is coming this year to the states, the game already has a planned sequal and Nintendo DS game and Manga; well add now an anime to it. Famitsu reports that an animated TV series is set to air on Japan’s TV Tokyo station in April. The Blue Dragon anime is in production at Studio Pierrot, which also worked on Naruto and Bleach. The Blue Dragon anime is being directed by Yukihiro Matsushita, who previously directed the Star Ocean EX animation. Kluke, the female lead in Blue Dragon‘s main trio of adventurers, is voiced by Erino Hazuki (pictured), while Keiko Nemoto and Daisuke Namikawa provide the voices of group leader Shu and Zero.

  1. No surprise to see this coming overseas. The game was clearly set for a media blitz with the star power they have going on. I sure Mr. Toriyama also won’t mind working on another series as well.
