Tetris Evolution 360 Unveiled

by Batman

Tetris is headed to the Xbox 360 this march, THQ announced today.

Tetris Evolution will include the tradition form of the puzzle game as well as several new modes including Go Low and Eraser for both single and multi play. All multiplayer modes will support both in-house four player gaming, and online gaming via Live.

“The Tetris series has been entertaining people of all ages for 20 years and has delivered unprecedented appeal and longevity in gaming,” said Kelly Flock, executive vice president of worldwide publishing, THQ. “With its predecessor, THQ’s Tetris Worlds, having sold more than two million copies to date, we can’t wait to debut Tetris Evolution on the Xbox 360 to show how the game has further evolved.”

It sounds like THQ is also giving Tetris the Lumines look with customizable themes, skins, icons, soundtracks and even background videos.

Hey, that’s all fun and everything, as long as they dont try to rape us with the microtransactions, we should do all right with some Tetris on 360, especially with the online play.

  1. They should have made this an XBLA game. This is one of the few retro titles I would get on XBLA.
